The Answer is Always Jesus

Sunday, March 15th Devotional
Today it’s our desire to see you have fun with your family while actively worshiping the
Lord together! Below you have an agenda you can do with your family to take your next step in
Christ this morning!
Start with a few rounds of I SPY!
The game starts with a simple declaration by one player: “I spy something _____.” The
blank is filled in with any adjective (i.e., purple, fuzzy, tall, square). It is up to the opposite
player(s) to guess what it is the first player spies. Continue with other players choosing the I
Spy item.

As we wake up to another day filled with many different stories, some good some bad,
we have the best story ever told right at our fingertips. God’s word (the Bible) tells us the best
story ever! One of love and redemption. One of suffering and sacrifice. One of peace and one
of hope.
God sent His son into the world to save it. (Read John 3:16-17) In the midst of chaos and sin over 2000 years ago God sent His son (Jesus) for you and for me. Jesus paid the ultimate price. He gave his life on a cross. (Matthew 27:32-56) But the best news is that He has risen and He is alive today! (Luke 24:1-7)
Even though there will be heartache, pain, sickness and tribulation, we can wake up every day
knowing Jesus has overcome all of these things ! (John 16:33)
Do you feel fear? Anxiety? Loneliness? Anger? Hurt? Loss? Look to God!
Are you worried about school? Work? Family? Disease? Look to God!
God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble! –Psalm 46:1
“I don’t know what the future may hold, but I know who holds the future.” – Ralph Abernathy
Do you have a relationship with Jesus this morning? Now is your chance!
Admit you have sinned Romans 3:23
Believe in Jesus Christ John 3:16-17
Confess He is Lord
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the
dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God,
and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. -Romans 10:9-10
Talk About It
  • What did you learn or were reminded of today?
  • Is there anything you are afraid of today?
  • How can we look to God in this season of uncertainty?
Close in prayer
Pray on your own, or use the below as a guide.
God thank you so much for giving your son Jesus for us. Thank you that we can have a
relationship with You by reading Your word, the Bible. With so many things happening in the
world today we trust that You are in control.
I pray for those that are sick, that you would be their healer. I pray for those that are
lost, that you would be their Savior. I pray for teachers, students, families and those affected
by current events that you would lead them and encourage them over the next few weeks. I lift
up our State, Nation and World that through all of the weakness, you would be our strength
and be lifted high today! We love You, we worship you and believe you are in control of
everything that happens. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
